How to Jet-Set with Style: Adorable and Airline-Approved Dog Carriers for Traveling Pups!

When it comes to airline-approved dog carriers, it’s crucial to comply with the specific regulations of the airline you’re flying with but you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style. Check out our guide to endure your canine companion’s travels in both comfort and flair.

Wild Ones: Travel Carrier

The Wild Ones dog carrier is incredibly cute and comes in various color options. It features breathable mesh walls, a dual-use dog leash or shoulder strap, and includes an interior mat that you can pull out to transform the carrier into a bed while you travel. Just a heads up, this carrier is hand wash only and is recommended for dogs up to 16 lbs.

Roverlund: Out-of-Office Carrier

I love the camo look of this Roverlund Out-of-Office carrier. It features a rear pocket with a removable insert that can be taken out during plane travel to allow the carrier to conform to the in-cabin pet carrier requirements of smaller aircraft. A cool perk of this carrier is that the shoulder strap also doubles as a leash and the borrow is waterproof. The carrier comes in a small version (up to 15 lbs) and a large version (up to 25 lbs), and it comes with a 1-year product warranty. The dog bed inside can be machine washed, but everything else is spot clean only.

Sleepypod: Air in-cabin carrier

The Sleepypod Air is a carrier that has been on my wish list. It offers the largest amount of space for in-cabin air travel. An innovative design enables it to contract in size to fit below a range of airline seats during the restricted times of takeoff and landing. Once the plane is in the air, it can be expanded to give your pet extra space to stretch out. There is also a zipper for you to slide your suitcase handle through for easy transportation around the airport. You can feel confident about your pet’s safety in this carrier, as it has to pass the safety test program safety test program.

Diggs: Passenger Travel Carrier

This is a pretty cool little carrier. It has some great details, including a detachable cross-body strap, a D-ring clip for your keys, and a collar tether clip to secure your pet when the carrier is open. Three pockets keep the essentials within easy reach. You can also purchase Diggs wee-wee pads, which fit right inside, and you can open the side pocket to swap them out during the flight if needed. I love the little metal-secured lock in addition to the zip on top, as I have had experience with my dog being a little magician and pushing her nose out of the top. This gives me peace of mind that she will stay inside if I doze off on the flight.

Just Fred: Destination Dog Tote

Crafted for commuters and travelers, this TSA-compliant tote boasts a lightweight, water-repellent exterior. The design includes a breathable mesh enclosure and an exterior peek-a-boo window that unzips, allowing your pup to enjoy the sights. For added discretion on the go, a flap with a magnetic closure rests on top of the mesh, concealing your doggo without compromising airflow. Travel in style with this functional and discreet pet tote!

SturdiBag

SturdiBags a perfect travel companion that combines lightweight convenience with machine washable ease. Ideal for dogs who may feel anxious amidst the hustle and bustle of travel, these carriers offer a private haven. The thoughtfully designed SturdiBags come complete with a foam pad, ensuring your pet’s ultimate comfort during the journey.
